GET TO KNOW THE ICT DEPARTMENT IN SAUTFES
WHAT IS ICT?
ICT stands for Information, Communication and Technology. This field has been re-invented from IT term which was known earlier for the aim of equipping the information technology field with a complete definition.
WHY ICT?
We believe that ICT has been existing since the very day of earth creation (Genesis 1:1-4). Here we see ‘‘in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth’’ which acts as the first INFORMATION ever given in the holy book, then ‘the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.
And the spirit of God was hovering over the face of waters then God said, ‘‘let there be light’’ and there was light. Here God COMMUNICATE for the first time to make sure that what is said is done.
And God saw the light that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. Here at last, He made the division between the chosen ones who will go to heaven ‘‘sons of light’’ and those who will go to hell ‘’sons of darkness’’ by using super TECHNOLOGY which came through a word (Jesus) plus the same Holy Spirit who was moving on the water to bring the world to the end of days when the son of man will descend back from heaven with a new holy Jerusalem (Revelation 21, 22).
This is just a vivid example to show how God values the use of ICT to perform his daily tasks, just like typing a letter C on the keyboard of your computer here in Tanzania or talking through video phone then through Internet somebody in Singapore can see what you are typing and hear what you are saying. The same happens when God speaks in heaven and it’s done on earth. Therefore we are part and parcel of ICT, we can’t just avoid it.
